The Lansingburgh United Methodist Church has roots back to 1788. Its first building was built in 1810. Its third and final building was built in 1849 at the corner of 3rd Ave & 116th St. It is now occupied by Joy Of Troy 7th Day Adventist Church.
The building we now occupy, on the corner of 3rd Ave & 115th St., is the second Presbyterian building, which opened for services Apr. 22, 1845.
Cornerstone Community Church had its origins in 1989 as both congregations came together for an ongoing series of Prelude to Christmas holiday concerts. The congregations began sharing in worship and Christian Education in 2001.
On Sunday Nov. 27, 2006, what is now known as The Cornerstone Community Church of Lansingburgh, came together as one congregation with shared traditions. We incorporated in Sept. 2009. In November 2021 Members of Rensselaer Presbyterian Church joined our congregation.
